All in the footsteps of multiple Olympic Champion, Joshua Cheptegei, the documentary uncovers remote communities on the high slopes of Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda, where traditions rooted in nature, forest-based nutrition, and high-altitude living have shaped generations of world-class runners.
The documentary reveals the unique bond between sports and nature, a bond that formed the base for a generation of Olympic champions, and tells how climate change now threatens their roots. Watch the teaser!

At September 12th 2026, the documentary was be exposed for the first time to friends, family and to the rest of the public, including Ambassador Mirjam Blaak Sow and Mr Emmanuel and Mrs Rosette Mutahunga as people from Joshua’s entourage.

Fun facts: Did you know that before I started filming, I had barely touched a camera, and that my first day of editing was also the first day I ever opened an editing program? Or that I made the documentary with just 0.8% of the budget of a professional high-end documentary? I stepped into this journey being very naive.
